First….A lot of people are feeling the pain of the pandemic and my heart goes out to you. We are all navigating some very strange times, and it is important for all of us to stay safe and to follow the guidelines provided by the state. While no one can predict the future, it is also important not to let fear get an unnecessary foothold in our lives.
Second….. There is a lot of contradictory information out there about what is happening in real estate, specifically in Cincinnati.
If you have a question about buying or selling real estate during this pandemic, I am here and available to answer those questions for you. I invite you to call, email or text me at the numbers below with any questions.
Now………. Let me give you some specifics as to what is actually happening locally in Cincinnati real estate. For example, this is the month of April, and in the last 24 hours there are 108 new listings and 98 properties that have gone under contract in the multiple listing service….And this typical. Lot’s of people are trying to take advantage of lower mortgage rates.
Some areas of the country that are considered “pandemic hot spots” , New York for instance, have had a challenge conducting real estate. In Cincinnati, we are fortunate that the pandemic has had a smaller impact on us than on other areas of the country.
The decision to buy or sell property now, depends on your unique needs. Some people in our area have decided to move their plans forward 6 weeks or so….Others have a more immediate need. The spring market is alive and kicking and homes are being bought and sold every day.
Now, let me share with you how the process is a bit different as we adhere to the CDC guidelines. Some showings are virtual, some are only two days a week….Such as Tuesday and Saturday for instance.
Depending on who is in your household, and how quickly it would likely go under contract, we will tailor a plan around you to ensure your safety and follow the cdc guidelines.
In Ohio, real estate is considered an essential business and it is important it continues each day as long as it is conducted safely.
Perhaps you would like to buy or sell later this spring or summer. It is never too soon to start the discussion, or maybe you are just curious about values today.
